Pedestrian Dies In Galway Crash

A 50-year-old man has been killed in a road traffic collision in Co. Galway.

The man, who is believed to be a Polish national, was injured in the incident, which happened shortly before 7.30pm on Thursday on the Caheryon Road near Athenry.

The incident involved two cars and a pedestrian - the man who was killed.

Man Dies In Stabbing Incident
A 30-year-old has died and a second man has been injured in a stabbing incident in Tullamore, Co Offaly, shortly after 7am this morning. It is believed there had been an argument in a house in the area and a Polish man was killed. The other man's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Man Killed In Road Crash In Waterford
A man has died in a road crash in Waterford. The collision, between a truck and a car, happened on the N25 just after Kilmacthomas at around 7.50am on Tuesday, 10 May. The man, aged in his late 20's, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck did not require medical attention.

Missing Cork Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing 52-year-old man from Cork has been found 'safe and well', garda have reported. John Ryan was last seen in the Shanakiel area of Cork City on Wednesday, 24 May. However, Mr Ryan has now been located and no further action is required.

Missing Co Mayo Man Found 'Safe And Well'
Missing Co Mayo man, David Duffy, has been found safe and well, garda have reported. Garda had issued an appeal for help in tracing 36-year-old Mr Duffy, who had not been seen since Sunday. Garda have thanked the public for their help and said that no further action is needed.

Investigation Launched Following Suspicious Fire In Co Offaly
Gardai have launched an investigation following a suspicious fire at a house in Rhode, Co. Offaly on Monday. The incident occurred between 11.30pm on Sunday and 1.50am on Monday. A 24-year-old man sustained serious injuries and has been transferred to St James Hospital where his condition is described as critical.
