Body Recovered In Wexford Pier Tragedy
The body of a man has now been recovered from a car which went off the pier at Cahore in North Wexford this morning.
Garda divers were continuing to search the area on Monday afternoon for a second person who may have been in the vehicle at the time.
A search operation was launched this morning after an eye-witness reported seeing a dark-coloured car with two people inside enter the water just after eight o'clock.
The search, which involved an Irish Coastguard Helicopter and coastguard crews from Courtown and Cahore, was launched following reports that eyewitnesses had seen the car drive off the pier.
Gardaí said that, according to reports, there was at least one person in the car when it entered the water.

Investigation Launched After Man's Body Recovered From Sea
An investigation has been launched into the discovery of a man's body in the sea at Dinish Pier, Castletownbere, Co Cork. Emergency services were called to the pier after a body was found in the water between two tied up trawlers at about 14:00 on Thursday. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem is due to be carried out today.

Man Missing As Car Goes Off Co Wicklow Pier
A search and rescue operation is underway after a car went into the sea off the pier in Arklow, Co Wicklow, around 06:00 on Tuesday morning. A woman, believed to be in her 20s, is being treated in St Columcille's Hospital in Loughlinstown. Gardaí are still searching for a man, who is in his 30s.
