Post-Mortems Due On River Bodies

Post-mortems are due to be carried out on the bodies of two brothers whose bodies were found in the River Shannon in Athlone over the weekend.

The body of one man was found on Saturday morning near Athlone Castle, while the second body was found near the same location on Sunday morning.

Both men are believed to be from Co Westmeath.

Both bodies were taken to the Midlands Regional Hospital in Mullingar, where post-mortems were due to be carried out on Monday morning.

According to reports, gardaí do not suspect foul play in the deaths.

Two Bodies Found In Limerick
The bodies of a male and a female, both aged in their 20s, have been discovered in a house at O’Malley Park yesterday morning. Gardaí said they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the two bodies, which occured at approximately 1130am. Both individuals are believed to have been shot.

Two Bodies Discovered In County Limerick
Two bodies have been discovered at a house in County Limerick. The bodies, of a man and a woman, were found in the bedroom of a house in Boolaglass at around 3am on Monday. The State Pathologist has been notified and an examination is expected to take place. Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Appeal For Witnesses To Early Morning Shooting In Dublin
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a shooting in Dublin this morning. According to garda a man was shot just after 9am on Thursday morning on Clonard Street. The victim has been taken to hospital but no details of his condition have been released. The scene of the shooting has been sealed off pending a technical examination.
