Road Death Toll Rises Again

There have been further road fatalities with two women and a man being killed following separate road accidents yesterday evening in both Co Sligo and Co Londonderry.

In the first incident, a 48-year-old woman died after being hit by a car at Corball in Enniscrone at around 5pm.

In Northern Ireland, a man and a woman also died in a two-vehicle collision on the Duncastle Road in Newbuildings just before 6pm.

Garda Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Road Accident
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision in Dundalk on Thursday, 10 December. A 69-year-old man died in hospital following the collision on the Inner Relief Road in Dundalk at about 17:00, garda have reported. It is understood the man was driving a car that was involved in a collision with a bus.

Garda Appeal For Witnesses To Two Fatal Road Accidents
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to two fatal road accidents on Saturday. A 62-year-old man died when the car he was a passenger in left the road on the M50 at about 12:45am between Junction 10 Ballymount and Junction 11 Tallaght. The 60-year-old female driver is in a critical condition in Tallaght Hospital.

Garda Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Galway Accident
Gardaí are appealing to witnesses of a fatal road accident in Galway on Tuesday night. A 60-year-old man died after his car hit a wall in the Liosban Industrial Estate at about 22:00. No other vehicles were involved in the accident. The victim was pronounced dead at University College Hospital Galway.

Woman Dies After Being Hit By Car In Dublin
An elderly woman who was hit by a car in Dublin has died in hospital. The incident occurred on the Navan Road at around 8.15am on Sunday, 04 September. The driver of the car was arrested and taken to Finglas Garda Station. He has been released and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
