Teenager Remanded Over Limerick Shooting

An 18-year-old has appeared in court in Limerick charged in connection with a shooting incident last week.

Liam Kelly, from Distillery View, Thomondgate, was charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

The charges relate to an incident in the early hours of Sunday morning, 23 September, on St Munchin's Street, in which a 21-year-old man was shot in the stomach and back.

Mr Kelly was remanded in custody to appear again in court tomorrow for a bail hearing.

Two Held Over Attempted Shooting Attack Released
Two men arrested in connection with an attempted shooting attack in Dublin have been released without charge. The incident occurred at a car park next to the Islandbridge Court Apartments on 1 November. A Honda Civic rammed another car at the scene. Two occupants in the car then ran after the driver of the other vehicle and fired a number of shots.

Man Charged Over Limerick Shooting
A man has been charged in connection with a shooting incident in Limerick that led to the death of a local man. Gardai investigating the fatal shooting, which occurred last Tuesday evening, said today they have charged Kenneth Collopy of Kilonan, Ballysimon, Co Limerick, over the incident.

Teenager And Young Child Injured In Alleged Shooting In West Dublin
An investigation has been launched into an alleged shooting incident in West Dublin. According to reports, a teenager and a young child have been injured in an incident that gardaí have said is "ongoing" in the Parlickstown area of Blanchardstown. The area has been sealed off and gardaí are at the scene. Further updates to follow.

Fianna Fáil TD Charlie O’Connor, who is a member of the South Dublin County Joint Policing Committee, has welcomed the activation of a CCTV scheme in Tallaght, yesterday. Tallaght is the largest town in county Dublin outside the capital city centre.

Man Due In Court Charged With Cork City Shooting
A 29-year-old man is due to appear in court this morning in connection with a shooting incident in Cork City on Sunday, 15 May. The man has been charged in connection with the investigation into an incident where a firearm was discharged shortly after 1am at Hollwell Estate. He appeared before Cork District Court 1 this morning Wednesday, 18 May.
