Woman In Hospital After Dublin Funfair Accident

A woman has been left seriously injured following an accident at a Dublin funfair.

The woman in her 30s, was thrown from a high-speed ride at the Fun Fest, in the Millenium Park, Blanchardstown.

The incident occurred at around 8pm yesterday evening. She was taken to Connolly hospital and it is believed she has suffered several injuries, including broken bones.

A Health and Safety Authority (HSA) spokesperson said the woman's condition was critical but stable.

It is understood that three separate investigations by the Gardai, the HSA and Fingal County Council, are being carried out.

Woman Stabbed In Athy
A woman has been stabbed in Athy, Co Kildare. The woman, believed to be in her 60s, was stabbed just before noon, on Tuesday. She was taken to Naas General Hospital and was treated with minor injuries. Gardai have launched an investigation. No arrests have been made.

Body Of A Woman Discovered At House In Co Donegal
An investigation has been launched into the death of a woman in Killygordon, Co Donegal. The body of a woman, aged in her 20s, was discovered at a house in the town in the early hours of this morning, Friday, 04 January. A post-mortem is due to be carried out which will determine the course of the investigation, garda have said.

Woman Dies After Being Hit By Car In Dublin
An elderly woman who was hit by a car in Dublin has died in hospital. The incident occurred on the Navan Road at around 8.15am on Sunday, 04 September. The driver of the car was arrested and taken to Finglas Garda Station. He has been released and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

Missing Woman Margaret Fogarty Found 'Safe And Well'
Missing woman Margaret Fogarty, aged 93, has been found "safe and well". Margaret went missing near Druids Valley Park on Sunday, 21 August. She was wearing black/navy trousers, a white shirt with dark stripes, a dark purple cardigan and had a green walking aid. Gardaí have thanked the public for their help.
