Motorcyclist Dies In Carlow Crash

A man has been killed in a road crash in Co Carlow.

The motorcyclist died when he collided with a parked vehicle at Closutton, near Leighlinbridge, at around 9.30am this morning.

The man’s body has been removed to Kilkenny hospital. His name has not yet been released.

Gardaí are investigating the incident.

Carlow Car Crash Kills Two
Two people have been killed in County Carlow. A man, 23, and a woman, 18, died when the vehicle they were travelling in hit a tree in Kilcarry, Clonegal. No other vehicles were involved in the incident and the two killed were the only occupants in the car. Garda have appealed for any witnesses to the crash.

Yellow Weather Warning Issued For Heavy Rain
A yellow weather warning for rain has been put in place across many counties in Ireland. The warning came into effect at 11pm on Sunday night, 13 October, and is in place until 11.59pm on Monday, 14 October. The warning is for Munster, Connacht, Carlow, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Wexford, Offaly and Westmeath.

Water Conservation Orders Lifted As Rainfall Increases
Irish Water has announced the water conservation orders have been lifted in the Southern, Eastern and Midlands regions. The areas that have had their order lifted include: Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, Cork, Waterford, Wexford, Kilkenny, Carlow, Laois, Offaly, Wicklow, Meath, Westmeath, Louth and Dublin.

Status Yellow Warnings Issued For Rain And Low Temperatures
Two Status Yellow weather warnings have been issued for rain and low temperatures. A rainfall warning has been issued for counties Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford. Rainfall of between 30 and 50 mm is expected in many areas with a risk of flooding.

Motorcyclist Killed In Carlow Crash
A motorcyclist has died after colliding with a car in Co Carlow. Gardaí in the Borris area are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision, which occurred at approximately 6.00pm on Sunday evening on the Kiltealy to Ballymurphy road.
