Status Yellow Warnings Issued For Rain And Low Temperatures

Two Status Yellow weather warnings have been issued for rain and low temperatures.

A rainfall warning has been issued for counties Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford. Rainfall of between 30 and 50 mm is expected in many areas with a risk of flooding.

The warning is valid between Thursday 05 April at 2pm to Friday 06 April.

A low temperature warning has also been issued for all of Ireland, with temperatures expected to fall to -3 or -4 degrees in many areas.

The warning is valid from 9pm today, Wednesday, until Thursday 05 April.

Status Yellow Warning Issued For Snow And Ice In 10 Counties
A Status Yellow weather warning has been issued for snow and ice across ten counties. According to Met Éireann the warning is valid from midnight tonight, 01 April, and will remain in place until noon on Wednesday 03 April and will affect all of Connacht and counties Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Longford and Louth.

Body Of Missing Dublin Woman Found
The body of a woman from Dublin has been found. Christina Lavin, 59, was last seen at her home in the Kilmainham Bank area on Emmet Road on 16 January. Gardai issued several appeals for help to trace her in the past few weeks. Her death is not being treated as suspicious.
