Fatal Crash In Co. Louth

A man has died in a road crash in Co. Louth.

The incident happened on the northbound lane of the M1, just north of the Boyne Bridge, around 11:45am on Tuesday.

The man, who was in his sixties, was driving a truck, which went out of control and crossed into the opposite carriageway.

According to reports, it is believed that the man may have become ill before losing control of the vehicle.

Taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, he was pronounced dead.

Diversions were in place on the M1, but they have now been lifted.

Gardaí in Drogheda have appealed for any witnesses to the crash to come forward.

A man has died in a road collision in Co Louth. The single-vehicle crash occurred at Rassan on the Dundalk to Castleblaney Road at around 7am today, 05 September. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The road has been closed and diversions have been put in place. Gardai are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Tipperary Road Crash Claims Life
A man has been killed in a single-car crash in Co. Tipperary this morning. The crash happened shortly after 8am on Thursday on the road between Templemore and Borrisoleigh. Another man was also critically injured in the crash. Both men are believed to be in their twenties.
