Man Arrested Following Discovery Of 'Cannabis Factory'
A man in his twenties has been arrested following the discovery of a cannabis factory in a house in Co. Leitrim.
The rented house in Cloone village in the Carrick-on-Shannon area was raided on Tuesday night and a large quantity of cannabis plants were discovered upstairs.
Gardai said that the upstairs of the property had specialised plumbing and irrigation equipment installed, as well as transformers used to boost the electricity supply.
The operation was described as professional.
A file on the case is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Cannabis worth an estimated €150,000 has been seized from a home in Larchill, Santry in Dublin, on Saturday. Gardaí arrested four men in connection with the find. They are due to appear in court on Monday.

Cannabis Seized During Raid In Wexford
Gardai have seized herbal cannabis following a raid on a house in Wexford. It is estimated to have a street value of €45,000. A number of plants were found during the search of a property in Lee Heights on Thursday. No arrests were made and investigations are continuing.

Up to €5.3 million worth of drugs have been seized following a search operation in Co Meath. As part of a planned operation by Gardaí from Meath Divisional Drugs Unit, officers carried out the search at a property in Clinstown, Stamullen at 2.45pm on Thursday, 29 June.
