Three Men Charged After Tallaght Operation Targeting Burglary And Car Theft
Three men have been arrested and charged following operations on Saturday 19 September 2026 by Gardaí from Tallaght Community Engagement and the Serious Crime Unit, part of ongoing investigations into burglary, car theft and related offences in the Tallaght area.
While on patrol in the Cloonmore Park area, officers observed a man exit a vehicle and attempt to flee on foot. The man, aged in his 40s, was apprehended and arrested in connection with the investigation. He was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda station in the Dublin Metropolitan Region. The vehicle was recovered and had been reported stolen following a recent burglary locally.
During the same operation, Gardaí arrested two additional men, in their 20s and 40s, who were also detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a station in the Dublin Metropolitan Region.
All three have been charged with a number of offences and are due to appear before Tallaght District Court at 10:30am on Monday 21 September 2026.
Investigations are ongoing.
During the same operation, Gardaí arrested two additional men, in their 20s and 40s, who were also detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a station in the Dublin Metropolitan Region.
All three have been charged with a number of offences and are due to appear before Tallaght District Court at 10:30am on Monday 21 September 2026.
Investigations are ongoing.
