Man In His 50s Dies In Single-Motorcycle Crash In West Dublin

Gardaí are seeking witnesses after a fatal single-vehicle collision on Lower Road, Strawberry Beds, Lucan, Dublin, on Wednesday, 29 July 2026.

Shortly before 4:30am, Gardaí and emergency services responded to a crash involving a motorcycle on the R109 Lower Road between Tinkers Hill (R121) and Rugged Lane.

The rider, a man in his 50s, received treatment at the scene but was pronounced dead a short time later.

The area has been sealed off for examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, and local traffic diversions are currently in place.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. Road users with relevant camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make it available to the investigating Gardaí.

Missing 25-Year-Old Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A 25-year-old man who was missing from Harcourt Street in Dublin has been found safe and well, Gardaí have reported. Simon Quinn was reported missing after last being seen at around 2.30am on Monday, 30 July. However, Mr Quinn has now been found and Gardaí said they wish to thank the media and public for their assistance.

Gardaí Appeal for Witnesses to Fatal Road Collision Near Ballinrobe
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic incident that occurred outside Ballinrobe on the N84 at Carrowkeel, Co Mayo, on Wednesday 8th July. Shortly after 9pm, Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene after receiving reports of a collision involving a vehicle and a bicycle.

Man Dies In Road Traffic Collision
A man has died in a road traffic crash in Dublin in the early hours of this morning. The collision involved a car and a 56 year-old pedestrian, who was fatally injured, at Amiens Street. Garda Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Road Accident
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision in Dundalk on Thursday, 10 December. A 69-year-old man died in hospital following the collision on the Inner Relief Road in Dundalk at about 17:00, garda have reported. It is understood the man was driving a car that was involved in a collision with a bus.
