Two Arrests Made Following Fatal Assault on Clarendon Street
A man and a woman have been detained by Gardaí as investigations continue into the early morning incident.
Gardaí at Pearse Street are continuing their investigation into a fatal assault that took place on Clarendon Street, Dublin 2, during the early hours of Monday 1 June 2026. A woman in her 20s was arrested in connection with the case on Tuesday 2 June 2026. Following this, a man also aged in his 20s was arrested in relation to the investigation on Wednesday 3 June 2026.
Both individuals are currently being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Dublin area Garda Station.
The investigation remains ongoing.

Gardaí have launched an appeal for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the N52 at Dunmahon, County Louth, on Sunday 31 May 2026. The incident, which involved two motorcycles and a jeep, took place shortly before 12:30pm. One of the motorcyclists, a man in his 50s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
