Gardaí have renewed their appeal for witnesses after a fatal two-vehicle road traffic collision on the N15 in Birchhill, Co. Donegal, which occurred on Saturday 16 May 2026.

Emergency services and Gardaí were called to the scene of the two-car crash shortly after 2:00pm.

Two men travelling in one of the vehicles, aged in their 20s and 30s, were pronounced deceased at the scene. Two other passengers from the same vehicle—a man and a woman in their 20s—were transferred to Letterkenny University Hospital to receive treatment for injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening. The two occupants of the second vehicle, a man and a woman in their 40s, were also taken to Letterkenny University Hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

Investigating officers are urging anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them.

Additionally, road users who were travelling in the area between 1:30pm and 2:30pm and possess camera or dash-cam footage are requested to make it available to Gardaí. Anyone who was present at the scene and has not yet spoken with officers is also asked to come forward.
