Three Men Arrested In Connection With Violent Incident In Galway In January 2019

Three men have been arrested in Longford this morning, Friday 21 February, in connection with a number of incidents that occurred outside Holy Family Church, in Mervue, Galway on the 13th January 2019.

The three males, two aged in their early 40s and the third in his late 30s are due to appear before Longford District Court this morning, Friday 21st February.

In the incident outside the Holy Family Church in Mervue a man in his 30s received a gunshot wound to the leg and was treated in University Hospital Galway.

A second man in his late teens received a stab wound to the back and was taken to University Hospital for treatment.

A third man received minor injuries in an assault on Walter Macken Road which is also under investigation.

Missing Galway Man Found 'Safe And Well'
Gardaí in Galway have reported that John Moyles has been found "safe and well". The 23-year-old, from the Rahoon area of Galway, was reported missing on Sunday. It is understood that he was found in the Dublin area. Garda have thanked the public for their help.

Body Confirmed As Missing Galway Man
Gardaí have confirmed they have found the body of missing Galway man Adrian Folan. Mr Folan had been missing since last Thursday, when he was last seen in Athlone. Gardaí say that a body found in a disused quarry near the village of Liscannor in north Clare is that of Mr Folan, and that the death is being treated as suspicious.

Body Discovered In Galway Street
An investigation is underway following the discovery of a body in Galway city this morning. It is understood that the body of a 40-year-old local man was found at around 07:30 on Wednesday morning on Shop St. Gardaí have said that they do not believe the death to be suspicious.

Investigation Launched Into Galway Body Find
Gardaí have launched an investigation following the discovery of a man's body in an apartment in Galway City. It is understood that the man's body was found by his flatmate on Monday. According to reports, the dead man is believed to be a 23-year-old from Tullamore in Co Offaly who was studying in Galway City.
