Two Further Men Arrested In Connection With Kevin Lunney Investigation

Two men have been arrested by gardaí investigating the abduction of Kevin Lunney on 17 September 2019.

A male, aged 25 years, has been arrested in the Dublin Region for an offence contrary to Section 73 Criminal Justice Act 2006 and is being detained under Section 50 Criminal Justice Act 2007 at Irishtown Garda station.

Separately, a man, aged 66 years, has been arrested in County Cavan for an offence contrary to Section 72 Criminal Justice Act 2006 and is being detained under Section 50 Criminal Justice Act 2007 at Monaghan Garda stations.

Gardaí continues to appeal to any person who has any information, no matter how insignificant it appears, on this vicious criminal attack or any other criminal activities which have taken place in the Cavan/Fermanagh border area over recent years to contact An Garda Síochána at Cavan Garda Station 049 4368800, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111, Crime Stoppers on 1800 25 00 25 or any Garda Station.

Helicopter Crash Pilot Arrested
Gardaí have arrested the pilot of a helicopter that crash landed next to a public house in Abbeyshrule on suspicion of endangerment. The pilot, a man in his 60s, and his passenger escaped the crash on Wednesday night with cuts and bruises.

Man Arrested In Connection With Murder Of Andrew Guerrin
A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Andrew Guerrin. The 37-year-old victim's body was discovered on Steelstown Lane, Dublin on Saturday 23 May. The man is currently being detained at Clondalkin Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 – Criminal Justice Act 1984.

Investigation Launched After Pharmacy Worker Stabbed
An investigation has been launched in Drogheda after a Pharmacy employee was stabbed. Gardaí were called to Scarlet Street shortly before 08:30 on Tuesday morning to reports that an employee had been stabbed. The victim, a man aged in his 30s, was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, where his condition is described as serious.
