Search Resumes In Cork For Missing Fisherman

An air and sea search has resumed today for a lobster fisherman missing in west Cork.

The man failed to arrive back to the port at the scheduled time of 6pm on Wednesday evening, 09 October.

A major search operation was launched by the Coast Guard as a result, involving the RNLI and Naval Service at Dunmanus Bay, the area where he is believed to have been fishing.

The search was called off late last night but resumed at around 7am this morning.

Search Resumes For Missing Fisherman
A search is to resume this morning for a fisherman who was swept into the sea in Co Clare last night (Sunday). According to reports, the man had been fishing with friends off the rocks at Ballyreen, near Fanore, in the county around 5.30pm. He was angling from the rocks when he was hit by a wave.

Cork Search For Missing Fisherman Continues
The search for a fisherman who has been missing from the Dunmannus area of west Cork has entered its third day. Lone fisherman Kodie Healy, aged in his 20s, had been at sea since early on Wednesday morning and was due to arrive back at around 6pm. The search is being coordinated by Valentia Coast Guard in conjunction with An Garda Síochána.
