Man's Body Discovered At Cork Farm
An investigation has been launched following the discovery of a man's body in Cork this morning.
At about 7am the body of a 29-year-old man was found at a farm house in Shanavagoon, Ladysbridge, Co Cork. According to reports the man had suffered a "number of injuries".
A post-mortem examination is to be carried out at Cork University Hospital, which garda have said will determine the course of their investigation.
The scene of the discovery has been preserved pending a forensic examination.
It is understood that a man, aged in his 20s, has been detained in connection with the discovery.

Following the discovery of a body in Co Cork, Gardaí have launched an investigation into the death which they believe is "suspicious". Officers in Anglesea Street in Cork are investigating the discovery of the body at approximately 8.30pm on Sunday of a 62-year-old male, found at an address on High Street in the Capwell area of Cork.

Gardaí have removed a body washed ashore near Glounthaune in east Cork. It is understood the body came ashore close to the Midleton rail line, and is believed to have been brought there on tidal waters.
