Arrest As €24k Cannabis Seized In Dublin

A 21-year-old Irish man has been arrested after drugs worth an estimated €24,000 were seized in Dublin.

The intelligence led revenue operation saw revenue officers search an apartment in Coolock under warrant.

The herbal cannabis was found hidden in electrical equipment which had originated in the UK.

Gardaí arrested the suspect who was taken to Ballymena Garda Station and is being held under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

Investigations are ongoing following the joint operation between Revenue's Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and Gardaí from the Drugs Unit in Ballymena.

Appeal After Man Shot In Dublin
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a man was shot in the Lucan area of Dublin yesterday, Wednesday 04 September. The shooting happened at Griffeen Glen Park at around 1.50pm and saw the target shot in his body, head and arms while in his car. He is in stable condition in hospital.

Motorcyclist Killed In Dublin Crash
A man has died following a collision between a motorbike and a taxi in Dublin. The crash occurred on the Old Navan Road near Mulhuddart in the west of the city at around 7pm on Wednesday evening, 04 September. The 45-year-old motorcyclist was taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown and Gardaí later confirmed he had died.
