Two Men Detained in Connection With Major Drug Seizures In Tipperary
Two men have been arrested in Tipperary in connection with a major drug seizure worth an estimated €550,000.
It is understood that a van failed to stop for garda in Ballinure and as garda gave chase, the officers saw two packages being thrown from the vehicle. Garda stopped the vehicle a short distance away and detained two men, aged 45 and 22.
Following a search, the packages that had been thrown from the van were recovered and discovered to contain ecstasy tablets worth an estimated €150,000.
Following this, further search operations were carried out at residential premises in Cashel and Killenaule. Cannabis herb worth an estimated €400,000 was recovered along with €21,000 in cash.
Both men are currently being detained at Thurles Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 – Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking Act) 1996. Gardaí say investigations are continuing.

Two men have been arrested after Gardai seized an estimated €700,000 worth of cannabis plants in Virginia, Co Cavan. Detectives searched a warehouse in a planned operation this morning and found a major cultivation operation with an estimated 800 cannabis plants. The two males are being questioned in Bailieborough Garda station.

Men Detained Over Wexford Drug Seizure
Gardaí have detained two men in Co Wexford following a seizure of cannabis resin. The drugs were seized last night at around 7pm and are believed to be worth an estimated €300,000. The two men are being detained for questioning at the Garda station in New Ross.

Cannabis plants and herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of €1.5 million have been seized in west Dublin. €20,000 in cash was also discovered. Four men aged in their 30s were arrested and are currently being detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act at Blanchardstown and Ballymun Garda Stations.

Three men have been arrested following the seizure of cocaine in Dublin. It is understood that 3.5kg of the drug, worth an estimated 250,000 euros, was discovered in Rathmines after being imported in cargo from Peru through Dublin Airport on Thursday. According to reports, the drugs had been sent by courier from Peru.
