Public Advised Of Delays Following Luas Power Failure

Commuters are being advised to allow extra time while travelling on the Luas in Dublin today, Wednesday 08 May, due to a breakdown on the line this morning.

The red route between Red Cow and Tallaght/Saggart has been suspended due to a power failure. Efforts are being made to get the service back up and running.

Luas tickets can be used on Dublin Bus routes and alternative transfers are in place to transport all passengers to stops along the affected Luas line.

Luas Red Line Docklands Extension Opens
The Luas Red Line extension to Dublin's docklands has opened to the public for the first time today, with free transport for commuters until 3pm today. There are four new stops on the new extension - at George's Dock, Mayor Square, Spencer Dock and the Point.

An investigation has been launched following the discovery of a man's body on the Luas line between Bray and Greystones yesterday, 20 April. It is understood that the body was found shortly after 7am between Greystones train station and the first tunnel at Bray Head.

Further Disruptions To Luas Red Line
A fire in buildings close to the Luas route in Dublin city centre at the weekend continue to cause disruptions to the red line. As a result, trams are only operating between Tallaght and Heuston Station today and tomorrow. There is no service from Heuston to the city centre. Frequency on the line has also changed.

Services Suspended On Luas Green Line
Services have been suspended on the Luas green line until further notice following a technical fault. Two trams on the green line failed on Friday morning, 07 October, due to a fault on the line. All Luas tickets are valid on Dublin buses. Red line trams and all lifts and escalators operating as normal.

Two Injured After Luas And Bin Lorry Collide
Disruptions have been caused to the Dublin Red Line Luas service following a collision between a tram and a bin truck. The crash happened at the junction between Benburb Street and Temple Street West. Both the Laus and lorry driver are being treated in hospital, but their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
