Dublin Among 20 Most Expensive Cities Worldwide

Dublin has been ranked as the 19th most expensive country in the world.

Paris, Hong Kong and Singapore were tied for the top spot in the Economist Intelligence Unit's 2019 Worldwide Cost of Living Survey.

This annual index compares the costs of goods and services, including food, transport and rent in 133 cities around the world.

Dublin ranked above London, which came in at number 22.

Zurich, Geneva, Osaka, Seoul, Copenhagen, New York, Tel Aviv and Los Angeles also made up the top ten.

Dublin Ranked 10th Most Congested City In The World
A new survey has revealed that Dublin is the 6th most congested city in Europe, and 10th in the world. The fourth annual global traffic report, produced by Sat Nav maker TomTom, ranked the city in the world's top ten most congested, along with Mexico City, Istanbul and Rio de Janeiro.

Dublin Ranked One Of Ten Worst For Cybercrime
Dublin has been named as one of the worst European cities for cybercrime, an online security firm's survey reveals. Norton's study showed the city was one of the ten worst for hacking. Each city was ranked by the prevalence of PCs and smartphones in addition to social media use with risk factors like unsecured Wi-Fi hotspots and malware attempts.

IRFU Submit Women's Rugby World Cup Bid
The Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) has submitted a bid to host the Women's Rugby World Cup in August 2017. The tournament, if hosted in Ireland, would involve matches taking place in both Dublin and Belfast.
