Man Arrested In Connection With Murder Of Kane McCormack

A man, aged in his 40s, has been arrested in connection with the murder of Kane McCormack.

The body of Kane McCormack (24) was discovered in a field in Dunboyne, Co Meath in December, 2017. He had been shot to death and it is believed that the killing is linked to the Hutch/Kinahan feud.

The suspected detained today is the second person to be arrested in connection with the killing.

Body Of Kane McCormack Discovered In Field On Meath/Kildare Border
A man's body has discovered in a field on the Meath/Kildare border. Gardaí said the body of Kane McCormack, aged 24, was found in a field at Walterstown, Dunboyne on Saturday, 02 December. A post-mortem examination revealed Mr McCormack died from three gunshot wounds. It is believed his death is linked to the ongoing Hutch-Kinshasa gang feud.

Second Murder Investigation Launched After Three People Stabbed In Cork
Gardai have launched a second murder investigation following three separate stabbing incidents in Cork city over the weekend. 30-year-old David Hamilton was stabbed at a house on the northside of Cork city on Friday around 14.30, and died at Cork University Hospital (CUH) on Monday evening.

Shot Man's Wounds 'Not Life Threatening'
A 35-year-old man has been shot twice in the leg inside a house in Twinbrook in Co Antrim on the outskirts of Belfast. A young girl and a woman were in the house in the Summerhill Drive area when the attack happened on Wednesday night. However, it is not believed that the man's injuries are life threatening.
