Elderly Man Found Collapsed In Dublin Park In Freezing Conditions

An elderly man remains in hospital after he was found collapsed in a Dublin park in freezing conditions.

According to reports, the man, aged in his 80s, was discovered close to the entrance of Tymon Park in Tallaght by two off duty nurses.

It is understood that the nurses gave the man medical assistance while waiting on an ambulance. He was then transferred to hospital. It is not know what caused the man's collapse.

Ground temperatures were reportedly -4C when the man was discovered.

Man Dies In Limerick Collision
A man has died in a crash in Co Limerick. The car veered off the road and hit a ditch at Dromsallagh at around 4.15am on Sunday, 05 June. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. A second man is currently being treated for his injuries at the University Hospital Limerick. The road has been re-opened.

Missing Co Mayo Man Found 'Safe And Well'
Missing Co Mayo man, David Duffy, has been found safe and well, garda have reported. Garda had issued an appeal for help in tracing 36-year-old Mr Duffy, who had not been seen since Sunday. Garda have thanked the public for their help and said that no further action is needed.

Missing Cork Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing 52-year-old man from Cork has been found 'safe and well', garda have reported. John Ryan was last seen in the Shanakiel area of Cork City on Wednesday, 24 May. However, Mr Ryan has now been located and no further action is required.

Man Arrested Following Death Of A Man In Phoenix Park
A second man has been arrested in Dublin in connection with the murder of a man in the Phoenix Park on Friday. The man is currently being held at Finglas Garda Station. The victim is believed to have been attacked and set alight in a sleeping bag.

The Protection of Life during Pregnancy Bill has been published by the government following approval by the Cabinet. Several significant changes have been made to the outline of the Bill, which was published in April. The Minister for Health will be given the power to stop suspended an institution if deemed to be operating the Act inappropriately.
