Orange Warning Issued For High Winds

Met Éireann has issued an Orange weather warning for 13 counties for high winds.

The warning comes into effect from 10pm on Thursday, 11 October, and covers Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Sligo, Clare, Kerry, Dublin, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow, Meath, Cork and Waterford.

Strong winds associated with Storm Callum could reach speeds of between 110km/h and 130km/h, according to Met Éireann.

A Status Yellow warning has also been issued for the rest of Ireland.

Met Éireann Issue Yellow Warning For Wind And Rain
A yellow warning has been issued by Met Éireann for heavy rain and strong winds across most parts of Ireland from Friday evening until Sunday. The forecaster has predicted between 60 and 90mm of rain in coastal and mountainous areas. Temperatures will range between 15 to 18 degrees tomorrow, dropping to 13 to 15 degrees on Sunday.

Met Éireann has issued a Status Orange warning for snow and ice across a number of counties. The Irish National Meteorological Service said "significant falls of snow" are expected from Saturday, 09 December and into Sunday, 10 December.

Met Éireann Issues Yellow Weather Warning
Met Éireann has issued a 'yellow' weather warning for all 26 counties. The warning for severe winds has been put in place until 4pm today, 10 December. In a statement Met Éireann said: :Wet and windy this morning with outbreaks of rain, heavy and squally at times.

Latest Weather Warning Issued As Storm Jorge Approaches
Met Éireann have issued a Status Orange weather warning as Storm Jorge approaches Ireland this weekend. Winds of up to 85kms per hour, with gusts of up to 130 kms per hour, are expected to effect counties Galway, Clare, Kerry, Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal from Saturday morning into the early hours of Sunday.

Met Éireann has issued a yellow warning for heavy rainfall and strong winds in a number of counties across Ireland. Heavy rain is expected throughout Monday in Munster and Leinster, with Dublin, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow, Meath, Cork, Kerry, Tipperary and Waterford to be the most affected.
