Latest Weather Warning Issued As Storm Jorge Approaches

Met Éireann have issued a Status Orange weather warning as Storm Jorge approaches Ireland this weekend.

Winds of up to 85kms per hour, with gusts of up to 130 kms per hour, are expected to effect counties Galway, Clare, Kerry, Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal from Saturday morning into the early hours of Sunday.

A yellow wind warning will be in place for the rest of the country.

Govt Urged To Prioritise Legislation To End Zero Hour Contracts
Labour Youth has called on the Government to prioritise legislation to end zero hour contracts and 'if and when' work practices. The call follows a report published by the Irish Congress of Trade Unions (ICTU) that shows that precarious work is on the rise in Ireland, with over 8% of the Irish workforce now in insecure contracts.
