Temperatures To Reach 19 Degrees This Weekend
Temperatures are expected to reach 19 degrees in places this Saturday, 22 April, with good sunny spells expected across most of the weekend.
According to Met Éireann, Friday will also see highs of 18 degrees in places towards the east of the country.
While there will be light breezes all weekend, there will also be sunny spells throughout.
As the weekend comes to an end in late Saturday and Sunday showery bursts are expected, gradually moving southeast.
East coast places will not see the full benefit of the weather, with temperatures expected to be closer to 9 or 10 degrees.
The occasional shower spells will turn worse on Tuesday next week, April 24, with heavy rain expectant.

A heatwave is set to hit Ireland with temperatures projected to reach the high 20s over the weekend. According to Met Éireann the sunshine is expected to stay into next week with patchy clouds. Saturday, 23 June, is expected to be dry with soaring temperatures in the afternoon, especially in the south and west of the country.

A dispute over drivers' rosters has left thousands of rail passengers stranded following the cancellation of the Cork-Dublin train services. The travel chaos ensued following threats of industrial action by train-drivers, which went ahead on Thursday. All trains from Kent Station in Cork to Dublin were cancelled until 5.

However, the weather is expected to break on Sunday. Today will see sunny spells over Connacht and west Munster, and sunshine is expected in Leinster and Ulster.
