23-Year-Old Woman Arrested In Connection With Triple Shooting

A 23-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a triple shooting incident in Parslickstown, Mulhuddart on Monday 11 December.

A mother and two of her sons, an 8-month-old baby boy and a teenager, were all injured by a shotgun blast. It is understood the incident is related to a feud between Traveller families going back a number of years.

Gardaí in Blanchardstown have arrested a 23-year-old woman in the Wicklow area.

She is being detained under the provisions of section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 as amended at a Dublin Garda Station.

Gardaí also confirmed they have recovered a firearm as a result of searches in the Parslickstown area.

A man, aged in his 40s is continuing to help garda with their enquires.

Groups representing Travellers have appealed for calm, and urged feuding families to avail of mediation services.

Woman Released Without Charge Over Donegal Murder
A woman arrested in connection with the murder of Seamus Donnelly has been released without charge. Mr Doherty was killed at his home in Drumacanoo on 17 June 2012. The woman, 57, was released this morning. A man, 51, who was arrested on Wednesday is still being questioned by garda.

Man Arrested Over €400,000 Cannabis Find
Cannabis with an estimated value of €400,000 has been seized in Co Donegal. Members of the Revenue and Gardaí uncovered the drugs during a search at Castlefin on Tuesday. Garda arrested a man in his 30s in connection with the find.

Customs Seize 120,000 Illegal Cigarettes
Cigarettes with an estimated retail value of €57,000 have been seized by customs officers at Cork Airport. Some 120,000 Marlboro cigarettes were discovered in 12 suitcases that had arrived on a flight from Wroclaw, Poland. Garda arrested two men, understood to be Polish nationals, in connection with the find.
