Man In Court Charged With Nicola Collins Murder

A man in his 40s has appeared before Cork District Court charged with the murder of Nicola Collins.

The body of the mother of three was found at a house in Pophams Road, Faranree, Cork in the early hours of Monday, 27 March.

Gardaí investigating the murder arrested the suspect on Tuesday, 22 August.

New Bill To Protect Journalist Communications - FF
Fianna Fáil has announced a new Bill aimed at protecting confidential communications between a journalist and their source. The party's Spokesperson on Justice, Niall Collins, said that the Bill would be introduced "at the earliest opportunity", and follows revelations that Garda had used special powers to monitor journalists communications.
