Appeal Issued Following Fatal Collision In Co Cork
Gardaí have issued an appeal for information following a fatal road traffic collision at Lackenroe Glanmire in Co Cork.
A man in his 20s was fatally injured when his motorcycle was involved in a collision with a car at approximately 6pm on Wednesday, 09 August.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body removed to Cork University Hospital.
The driver of the car was taken to hospital as a precaution.
The scene is currently preserved for a technical examination and local diversions are in place.
Gardai wish to appeal for witnesses to contact Mayfield Garda Station on 021-4558510, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

Witnesses Sought To Fatal Motorcycle Collision
Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses to a serious collision in Co Cork on Tuesday evening. At about 8pm, a man aged in his 40s, died after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car at Lough Beg, Ringaskiddy. The man was pronounced dead at the scene and has since been taken to Cork University Hospital for a post-mortem.

A 58-year-old male was seriously injured when his car crashed into a ditch at Kilmullen Lane. Paramedics treated the man at the scene, however, he was pronounced a short time later.

Two people have died on Ireland's roads after traffic collisions in Dublin and Kilkenny in the last two days. In the latest incident, a male aged 19 was fatally injured when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a stationary vehicle. His body was taken to Tallaght Hospital.
