Witnesses Sought To Fatal Road Accident In Cork
Gardaí in Cork are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision at Dunmanway.
A 68-year-old man has died after the motorcycle he was driving collided with a ditch at about 11:10am at Cousana, on the Kealkil to Coppeen Road (R585), on Thursday.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been removed to the morgue at Cork University Hospital. No one else was injured in the collision.
Witnesses are asked to contact Clonakilty Garda Garda Station on 023 8821570, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses to a serious collision in Co Cork on Tuesday evening. At about 8pm, a man aged in his 40s, died after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car at Lough Beg, Ringaskiddy. The man was pronounced dead at the scene and has since been taken to Cork University Hospital for a post-mortem.

It is understood that a 33-year-old male pedestrian was hit by a car at on the N25 on the Cork side of Castlemartyr at about 05:15 on 04 May. He was taken to Cork University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Mikolaj Wilk in County Cork last June. The suspect, aged in his 30s, has been detained at Togher Garda Station. 35-year-old Mr Wilk, who was originally from Poland, died when he was attacked by a gang at his home in Ballingcollig.
