Two Men Arrested In Connection With Dublin Burglary

Two men have been arrested in connection with a house burglary in Dublin

The incident occurred at a home in the Beaumont area at 2pm on Wednesday, 28 June.

The homeowners, a couple in their 80s, had returned to their house following a visit to their local bank, having withdrawn money which was intended to pay for a family holiday.

As they entered their home, a man approached from their driveway and allegedly assaulted the couple. He then fled the scene with the cash. Gardaí said the couple were not seriously injured but they were badly bruised and traumatised.

Following extensive investigations, Gardaí stopped a car at 12.40pm on the Swords Road on Thursday, 29 June. The two occupants, a man in his 30s and a man in his 40s, were arrested. In a follow up search Gardaí recovered a quantity of cash.

The suspects are detained at Clontarf under Section 4 of Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

Missing 25-Year-Old Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A 25-year-old man who was missing from Harcourt Street in Dublin has been found safe and well, Gardaí have reported. Simon Quinn was reported missing after last being seen at around 2.30am on Monday, 30 July. However, Mr Quinn has now been found and Gardaí said they wish to thank the media and public for their assistance.

Garda Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Road Accident
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision in Dundalk on Thursday, 10 December. A 69-year-old man died in hospital following the collision on the Inner Relief Road in Dundalk at about 17:00, garda have reported. It is understood the man was driving a car that was involved in a collision with a bus.

Man Arrested Over €400,000 Cannabis Find
Cannabis with an estimated value of €400,000 has been seized in Co Donegal. Members of the Revenue and Gardaí uncovered the drugs during a search at Castlefin on Tuesday. Garda arrested a man in his 30s in connection with the find.

Man Arrested Following Armed Robbery In Arklow
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses following an armed robbery of a service station on the Dublin Road, Arklow, on Tuesday. A lone masked man, entered the premises armed with what is believed to be a knife; he threatened staff and demanded cash.

Man Arrested Following Drugs Find
Drugs with an estimated street value of €170,000 have been seized by gardai during a raid on a property in west Dublin. Cocaine and cannabis was found during the raid at a house in Balgaddy. A gun and ammunition were also discovered. A 37-year=old has been arrested and is being detained at Ronanstown Garda Station.
