Three Killed In Waterford Road Crash

Three men have died following a road traffic collision in Waterford.

According to Gardaí, two cars collided on the N72 between the junctions with the N25 and the R672 at around 10am on Sunday, 04 December.

It is understood six occupants of one of the cars were all taken to hospital by air. The second car that was involved in the accident caught on fire. The road remained closed overnight with diversions in place for motorists.

Gardaí later confirmed that three men involved in the crash have died, where post-mortem examinations will be conducted at University Hospital Waterford.

Second Death Following Co. Leitrim Crash
A second man has died following a road collision in Co. Leitrim on Tuesday. The 18-year-old man was the driver of one of three cars involved in the collision on the N4 at Mountcampbell, Carrick-on-Shannon, which happened around 8:10am on Tuesday. He died at Sligo General Hospital on Wednesday morning.

Appeal Launched Over Finglas Shooting
An appeal has been launched over the shooting of Anthony and Ciaran McDonagh in Finglas earlier this month. Gardai at Cabra Garda Station investigating the shooting said today they are seeking the public's assistance over the incident, which occurred at 9.10am on the morning of Thursday the 15 July on the River Road, between Finglas and Ashtown.

Man Questioned Over Fatal Road Crash In Co Mayo
Garda have detained a man in connection with a fatal road crash in Co Mayo on Sunday, 08 May. A 41-year-old motorcyclist was killed when his bike collided with a van on the N26 at Ballinahaglush at around 3.45pm. A man was arrested and is being detained at Ballina Garda Station.

Gardaí Injured During Drugs Raid
A man has been arrested after three gardaí were injured during a drug search in County Louth on Friday. The incident occurred at a property in Termonfeckin after 9am. The officers are believed to have been attacked with a knife and a pitbull dog was set on them. A man in his 30s is being held at Drogheda Garda Station.

Man Arrested After Shots Fired At Property In Dublin
A man has been arrested after shots were fired at a property in Dublin on Friday morning. Three men are believed have targeted the house on Oranmore Road in Ballyfermot at approximately 10am. A firearm was also recovered from the scene of the attack. The man is being detained at Ballyfermot Garda Station.
