18-Year-Old Appears In Court Charged With Finglas Stabbing

An 18-year-old man has appeared in court charged in connection with the death of Wesley Mooney in Finglas.

Mr Mooney was fatally stabbed during an incident at St. Josephs Park, Dunsink Lane, shortly after midnight on Monday, 06 June.

The suspect was arrested and appeared before Blanchardstown District Court today, 04 November.

It is understood he was remanded in custody to appear before the court next week.

BoI Predicts Further Economic Contraction
The Irish economy is set to contract further next year, adding to current financial woes, according to the Bank of Ireland. The bank’s latest quarterly projection has suggested national income will drop by almost 1.6% in 2008, which will represent the first decline since 1983.
