Appeal Issued Following Serious Assault In Limerick
Gardaí in Limerick have issued an appeal for witnesses to a serious assault in the city centre on Wednesday night, 12 October.
It is understood a man, aged in his 50s, was seriously injured during an altercation with another man in the city centre shortly before 8pm.
The second man is understood to have fled the scene on foot.
The injured man is believed to be in a serious condition in Cork University Hospital.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Belfast City Council has outlined traffic and travel arrangements ahead of this Sunday's St Patrick's Day event in Belfast. A 33-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital following an assault in Dublin City Centre. Gardaí have appealed for information after a man was assaulted at about 21:30 on Thursday night on Aston Quay. The man is being treated at St James' Hospital where his condition is described as critical.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a knife attack in Cork city in the early hours of Sunday morning. It is understood that a 38-year-old man was stabbed three times outside a house at Croaghtamore Square in Glasheen, in the southside of the city, at about 01:30 on Sunday. One of the stab wounds pierced the man's heart.

Man Dies In Tipperary Collision
A man, aged in his 70s, has died in a collision in Tipperary. He was killed after the car he was driving collided with another car in Borrisokane on Sunday, 05 June, at around 5.15pm. The woman in the other car sustained serious injuries and is currently being treated at Limerick University Hospital.

Gardai have launched an investigation following a suspicious fire at a house in Rhode, Co. Offaly on Monday. The incident occurred between 11.30pm on Sunday and 1.50am on Monday.
