Six Suspected Stolen Vehicles Recovered In Operation Thor Searches
A man has been arrested in connection with a number of seized vehicles and drugs as part of Operation Thor.
As part of an intelligence-led operation targeting an organised crime gang that were stealing cars in residential burglaries across Dublin, gardaí stopped and searched a car on the N11, Co Wexford on Wednesday afternoon.
During the course of the search car parts believed to have been stolen were recovered.
In a follow-up operation Gardaí searched premises in the Summerhill area of Co Meath, recovering an Audi A4, an Audi A3 and Volkswagen (VW) Golf, and one partially dismantled VW.
Around four kilos of cannabis was also recovered worth an estimated street value of €80,000.
A number of private houses were also searched, including a property in Co Wicklow, where another three cars – an Audi A5, an Audi A1 and a Hyundai Tuscan – were discovered, all believed to be stolen earlier in burglaries.
The man is currently being detained at Tallaght Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 – Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended.

Five guns and drugs worth an estimated €250,000 have been recovered during a search of houses in Tallaght. A search of two properties was carried out on Saturday morning by members of the Organised Crime Unit, the Garda National Drugs Unit, Crime and Security and the Emergency Response Unit, and local units from Tallaght.

A number of searches were carried out at the Marrowbone Lane Flat Complex in Dublin 8, by gardaí investigating serious crime and drug activity. Three rifles, six loaded magazines, one revolver and 200-300 rounds of ammunition were all recovered in the planned operation.
