Man Dies In Kilkenny Road Collision
A man has died in a road collision in Co Kilkenny.
The crash happened at around 1am on the westbound carriage of the N24 Piltown bypass.
The man, aged in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been removed to University Hospital Waterford where a post-mortem will be carried out.
Another vehicle involved in the crash failed to remain at the scene.
The road has been closed and diversions have been put in place.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.

A man has been killed in a collision in Galway. The car crash happened at around 2.45am this morning on the Headford to Galway Road. The 31-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. Gardai are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

A 69-year-old man died in hospital following the collision on the Inner Relief Road in Dundalk at about 17:00, garda have reported. It is understood the man was driving a car that was involved in a collision with a bus.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to two fatal road accidents on Saturday. A 62-year-old man died when the car he was a passenger in left the road on the M50 at about 12:45am between Junction 10 Ballymount and Junction 11 Tallaght. The 60-year-old female driver is in a critical condition in Tallaght Hospital.
