Man Arrested Following Discovery Of 'Suspect Package' At Dublin Garda Station
A man has been arrested in central Dublin this morning, Thursday, following the discovery of a "suspect package" at Store Street Garda Station.
It is understood the incident began just after 6am when garda stopped and searched a man, aged in his 40s, on Store Street.
According to reports, a suspect package was discovered and garda immediately sealed the area and evacuated a number of buildings on the street.
The Army Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit was called and the package was later removed for forensic examination.
The man has been detained under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act, 1939 and is being held at Irishtown Garda Station.
Gardaí said that their investigation was ongoing and further information would follow.

Missing Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing 24-year-old man has been found "safe and well". Alex Sherwin had been reported missing on Sunday, with garda issuing a public appeal for assistance. No information on Mr Sherwin's whereabouts have been released, but garda said the investigation had now ended. They thanked the public for their help.

Garda Injured In Cork
A garda has been injured while on duty in Cork on Monday night. The sergeant has been treated in hospital but has been discharged. He was bringing a patient, aged in his 20s, to the Mercy University Hospital just after 6pm. The garda is based at Gurranabraher Garda Station.
