Cannabis Worth €94,000 Seized In Galway
Herbal cannabis worth an estimated €94,000 has been seized during a joint Revenue Customs Service and Garda operation in Galway.
Approximately 4.7kgs of herbal cannabis was seized during the search of a house in Knocknacarra.
It is believed the drugs had originated in Cotonou, Benin in West Africa and were concealed in dried fish.
A 36-year-old Irish woman was arrested at the scene and is being held at Galway Garda Station.
The investigation is on-going.

Gardai have seized herbal cannabis following a raid on a house in Wexford. It is estimated to have a street value of €45,000. A number of plants were found during the search of a property in Lee Heights on Thursday. No arrests were made and investigations are continuing.

Cannabis Seized In Co Kildare
Gardaí in Co Kildare have seized cannabis worth an estimated €800,000. The find was made during a planned search of a house in Crossmorris on Monday. Officers seized 40kg of cannabis herb in the search. A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the find.

Drugs Seized In Galway City
Quantities of cocaine, ecstasy tablets, MDMA powder and herbal cannabis worth an estimated €35,000 have been seized in Galway City. The drugs were seized in a joint operation with the Garda Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, at a house last Thursday.

Gardaí in the Galway Divisional Drug Unit assisted by Gardaí from Gort Garda Station have seized a quantity of cannabis thought to be worth €100,000 at a premises in Derrawee West, Derrybrian, County Galway, during a planned search on 8 October. Gardaí seized 100 mature cannabis plants and approximately 1kg of cannabis herb.
