Witnesses Sought To Fatal Road Crash In Ballydoogan
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a fatal single vehicle road accident on the N65 on Friday.
A man aged in his 80s was fatally injured when the car he was driving left the road and collided with a tree at about 16:10 at Ballydoogan on the N65 Loughrea to Portumna Road.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been taken to Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe.
Gardai have appealed for witnesses to contact Loughrea Garda Station on 091-842870, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

Garda have detained a man in connection with a fatal road crash in Co Mayo on Sunday, 08 May. A 41-year-old motorcyclist was killed when his bike collided with a van on the N26 at Ballinahaglush at around 3.45pm. A man was arrested and is being detained at Ballina Garda Station.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses of a fatal road accident in Co Kerry. A 24-year-old man died when the car he was driving hit a wall on the N69 Tralee-Listowel Road in Glenballyma in Tralee. The accident happened at about 21:45 on Saturday. A post-mortem is due to be carried out today.
