Man Fatally Injured In Shooting In Dublin
An investigation has been launched after a man was fatally wounded in a shooting incident in Dublin.
The man, aged in his 20s, was seriously injured in the incident at the junction of Sheriff Street lower and Oriel Street.
He was pronounced dead in hospital a short time later.
Garda are awaiting the results of a forensic examination of the scene and said that the investigation was ongoing.
Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact garda.

According to reports, at about 15:30 on Henry Street in the city centre, there was an altercation between an officer and a homeless man. During the incident, it is claimed that the man took the garda's can of pepper spray.

Man Dies In Stabbing Incident
A 30-year-old has died and a second man has been injured in a stabbing incident in Tullamore, Co Offaly, shortly after 7am this morning. It is believed there had been an argument in a house in the area and a Polish man was killed. The other man's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission (GSOC) are appealing for witnesses to a shooting incident in Dublin. An investigation has been launched after a firearm was discharged and a man was injured in the Portobello area near the Portobello Road/Bloomfield Avenue junction at around 2am this morning, 23 August.

An investigation is underway after three Dublin-based Garda officers were allegedly involved in a street fight after trying to solicit prostitutes while on a night out in Limerick. It is claimed that a large group of off-duty Garda officers where socialising in a pub in Limerick's city centre when the alleged incident took place.
