Man Dies After Being Struck By Car
A man has died after he was struck by a car in Co Limerick.
The incident happened at around 6.15am in the Gooig, Castleconnell area in Co Limerick.
The pedestrian was fatally injured in the accident. The driver of the car was uninjured.
Gardaí have said the road is currently closed to traffic. Diversions are in place.
No further information has been released.
Gardaí have asked anyone who may have been travelling in the town land of Gooig, or in the vicinity of Daly's Cross, between 6am and 6.30am on Sunday morning, 7 February, to contact them on 061-212-400, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111, or any garda station.

Specially Adapted Car Stolen In Lucan Recovered
A specially adapted car stolen in Lucan, Dublin, on Monday 25 April, has been recovered. Gardaí issued an appeal for information on Tuesday after the black Audi A6 was stolen from the owners driveway. It is understood no damage was caused the car when garda recovered it. Garda thanked the public for their help.

Two men have been arrested in Dublin as part of a gardaí investigation into the supply of drugs in the city. Gardaí said the men, from Eastern Europe, were arrested by the Ballymun Drugs Unit in an underground car park on Tuesday night. It is understood the drugs, worth an estimated €500,000, were seized during the operation.

Woman Dies Following Road Accident
An elderly woman has died following a road traffic incident in Dublin. The victim, who was 75, was struck by a marked garda patrol car shortly before 11.30am on Thursday. The accident happened on the Fonthill Road in Clondalkin. She was taken to Tallaght Hospital, but later died from the injuries she sustained.
