Gardaí Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Road Accident
Gardaí in An Spidéal have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road accident on Wednesday night.
A man, aged in his 20s, is said to have died after the car he was driving collided with a wall on the R336 at Baile Liam, An Spidéal.
Gardaí, along with units of the Fire and Ambulance Services, attended the scene where the occupant of the car was removed from the vehicle and taken by ambulance to University Hospital Galway. He was later pronounced dead.
Investigating Gardaí are appealing for witnesses. Anyone with information is asked to contact Gardaí at Salthill on 091-514720, or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.

The man is understood to have been in a car that collided with a four-wheel drive vehicle. Two women in the second vehicle are being treated at Cork University Hospital. The 71-year-old driver is understood to be seriously injured.

Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses to a serious collision in Co Cork on Tuesday evening. At about 8pm, a man aged in his 40s, died after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car at Lough Beg, Ringaskiddy. The man was pronounced dead at the scene and has since been taken to Cork University Hospital for a post-mortem.
