Firearms, Ammunition And Drugs Discovered In Dublin

Two firearms, ammunition and a quantity of drugs have been discovered by Garda during a planned search in Clondalkin, Dublin, on Thursday.

Two firearms believed to be 9mm pistols, two silencers, a quantity of ammunition and cocaine worth an estimated street value of €6,500 were found at a house at Deansrath Avenue.

Two men were arrested at the scene and they are detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 at Ronanstown and Lucan Garda Stations.

Man Arrested Over Cocaine And Ammunition Find
Gardaí in Co Louth have seized a quantity of cocaine and 9mm ammunition following the search of a car. Cocaine worth an estimated €50,000, and a small quantity of ammunition, was uncovered when garda searched the car at about 18:00 in Drogheda on Monday. Officers arrested a man in his 40s in connection with the find.

'Significant' Firearms And Ammunition Seizure Made In Co Dublin
Three men have been arrested in connection with a significant firearms and ammunition seizure in Co Dublin. It is understood that the seizure was made at an industrial estate in Baldonnel earlier today, Tuesday 24 January. The operation was carried out by Gardaí Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau.

Firearms Seized In Swords
As part of an ongoing operation targeting the activities of a North Dublin Criminal Gang gardai have arrested a male and seized two firearms. Gardai from the Organised Crime Unit stopped a male in his 40’s who was on foot in the Applewood area of Swords at approximately 8pm on Friday.

Pipebombs Made Safe At Ammo Dump
A bomb disposal team has made safe a number of devices found along with a host of firearms and ammunition in Limerick. The Army bomb disposal team were called following the arms find in the Childers Road area of the city.
