'Dangerous Substances' Stolen During Vet Surgery Break-In

An investigation has been launched into a break-in at a veterinary surgery, during which a number of dangerous substances were stolen.

The burglary occurred at a Veterinary Surgery on Walkinstown Road, Dublin 12 on the night of the 28 - 29 October 2015.

During the burglary 8 x 100ml of Dolethal (veterinary medicine which is used by veterinary surgeons to administer euthanasia to animals) was taken. This medicine is extremely dangerous and can be lethal if taken orally or injected by humans.

Gardai in Crumlin are appealing for members of the public to notify Gardai if they have any information which can assist them locating the above described veterinary to contact them in Crumlin on 01 6666200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.

Manhunt Launched For Escaped Prisoner

Gardaí Drug Bust Scoops €5m
A Gardaí operation in Dublin has turned up a major drug find resulting in arrests and the seizure of a heroin stash worth almost €5 million. According to a Gardaí spokesman, an ongoing operation targeting illegal drug activity in the South Dublin area led officers from the National Support Services to stop a van in the Templeogue area.

Cocaine Seized In Inchicore
Gardaí have seized cocaine with an estimated value of €23,000 in the Roscommon/Longford area. The drugs were seized following a planned search of a premises at Emmet Lodge, Inchicore, Dublin, on Thursday afternoon.

Man Injured In Dublin Stabbing
Gardai are appealing for information after an 18-year-old man was stabbed in Dublin last night. He was attacked on St Mary's Road in Crumlin at around 7.30pm. The victim underwent surgery at Saint James hospital and his injuries are believed to be serious but not life threatening.
