Gardaí Renew Appeal For Witnesses To Dublin Shooting

Gardaí have renewed their appeal for witnesses to the murder of Dean Johnston in Ronanstown in Dublin last Friday night.

The shooting took place on Harelawn Green, off Neilstown Road, where Mr Johnston was found with several gunshot wounds to his head and body.

Detectives have appealed to passengers of the No 25 Nitelink Bus that departed Westmoreland Street at midnight on Friday 23 August.

They are particularly keen to speak to any passengers who remained on the bus from Liffey Valley to the end of the bus route.

Garda are also trying to establish the movements of a black Vauxhall Vectra, which was found on fire on Collinstown Crescent a short time after the discovery of the body. The car's registration is 99 DL 7997 and the vehicle had blacked-out windows.

Anyone with information, or who can assist with the investigation, should contact the incident room at Ronanstown Garda station on 01-6667776, the Garda confidential telephone line 1800-666-111, or any Garda station.
