Man Injured In Gun Attack

A man, 21, has been shot in Dublin in the early hours of Wednesday morning. The attack happened at Slieve Bloom Park in Driminagh at around 5.10am.

The man is being treated for injuries to his leg at St James' Hospital.

Gardai are appealing to witnesses to contact them.

Investigation Launched Following Suspicious Fire In Co Offaly
Gardai have launched an investigation following a suspicious fire at a house in Rhode, Co. Offaly on Monday. The incident occurred between 11.30pm on Sunday and 1.50am on Monday. A 24-year-old man sustained serious injuries and has been transferred to St James Hospital where his condition is described as critical.

Man Injured In Dublin Attack
A man has been injured in a serious attack in Dublin. It happened in Kearn's Place at around 2am this morning. The victim, believed to be in his 30s, was slashed across the face. He is currently at St James's Hospital, where his injuries are being described as "superficial".

Second Man Charged With Murder Of Irene White
A second man has been charged in connection with the 2005 murder of Irene White. Ms White was found dead at her home in Dundalk, Co Louth, on 06 April, 2005. She had been stabbed to death in a violent attack shortly after returning home from leaving her children to school.

The descriptions of a gang who attacked a man walking through Dublin on Sunday night have been released. The attack happened between 3.30am and 4am, during which a man walking with three friends on College Green, Dublin 2 was attacked by a group of up to nine other males.

Injured Man Arrested After Blast
A man who was taken to hospital with hand injuries after a device exploded in north Belfast at the weekend has been arrested. The 36-year-old man is being questioned in connection with the pipe bomb attack in Kansas Avenue after residents heard a loud bang at about 1.40am on Sunday morning.
