Man Dies After Tractor Overturns In Co Wicklow

A man in his 80's has died after the tractor he was driving hit a ditch and overturned in County Wicklow.

The incident occurred on a minor road at Ballycullen near Ashford at around 11.30am on Tuesday.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been removed to Loughlinstown Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Gardaí in Ashford are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Injured In Shooting In Bray, Co Wicklow
Gardaí have launched an investigation after a man was shot in Bray, Co Wicklow, on Thursday evening. The man, believed to be in his 20s, is currently being treated at St Vincent's Hospital in Dublin. He is believed to have been shot in the People's Park in Bray at around 5.30pm. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Irish Ambassador To Poland Joins Search For Missing Wicklow Man
The search in Poland for Wicklow man, James Nolan, has entered its third day. The Irish ambassador to Poland, Eugene Hutchinson, is now on his way from Warsaw to Bydgoszcz to liaise with the Polish authorities co-ordinating the search.

Two Arrested And Firearms Found In Co Wicklow
Two people have been arrested and firearms recovered in County Wicklow, according to Gardaí on Friday. A spokesman said that at approximately 11.20am Wednesday, Gardaí carrying out a checkpoint on the N11 at Coynes Cross, Ashford, stopped and searched a motor car, during which two hand guns were recovered.

Missing Cork Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing 52-year-old man from Cork has been found 'safe and well', garda have reported. John Ryan was last seen in the Shanakiel area of Cork City on Wednesday, 24 May. However, Mr Ryan has now been located and no further action is required.
