Man Dies In Hospital Following Suspected Assault
Gardaí in Cork city have appealed for witnesses of an alleged assault on Lower Oliver Plunkett Street on Thursday, 10 September.
A man died in hospital on Wednesday, 16 September, after he was found with serious injuries shortly before 14:00 last week.
A post-mortem is to be carried on Thursday afternoon, the results of which will determine the direction of this investigation, garda said.
Garda have appealed for witnesses to the incident or anyone with information to contact them at Anglesea Street Garda Station on 021 - 4522000, The Garda Confidential Line 1800 666111 or any Garda Station.

Witnesses Sought After Pedestrian Killed In Dublin
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision on Meath Street in Dublin. A man died after he was hit by a truck shortly before midday today, Wednesday, 26 October. The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries and was taken to St James Hospital.

7kg Cannabis Seized In Dublin
Gardai have seized 7kg of cannabis after they carried out a search on a car in Dublin on Monday. It has an estimated street value of €140,000. Members of the Crime Source Unit at Mountjoy Garda station discovered the drugs in the vehicle at Belvedere Avenue. The car has been seized, however no arrests were made.
