Teen Dies In Co Cavan Collision
A teenager has died in a collision in Co Cavan.
The 18-year-old male was a passenger in the car which hit a ditch on the R188 at approximately 5.25pm on Thursday.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and another passenger were taken to Cavan General Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
Part of the road has been closed and diversions have been put in place.
Gardai are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Further Road Tragedies Blight Ireland
The PSNI have appealed for information after a man died in a two-car collision in Londonderry. A black Skoda Octavia and black Ford Puma were involved in the incident, which was reported to police around 6.45pm on Tuesday. The collision happened on the Culmore road at the junction with the Springfield road near Derry.

Man Dead After Co Clare Crash
A man has died following a crash in County Clare this morning. The 23-year-old was taken to Ennis General Hospital after the one-vehicle crash in Lahinch at 1.30am. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital. Two women and one man, all in their 20s, were taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries. They were passengers in the car.

It is understood the dead woman was the driver of one of the cars involved in the crash. The driver and passenger of the other car – two women – both received serious injures.

PSNI Investigating Fatal Collision Near Bready, Co Tyrone
An investigation has been launched following a fatal road traffic collision near Bready, Co Tyrone. At around 1.40pm on Sunday, 07 April, police responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on the Victoria Road. When police arrived it was discovered that a white Seat Leon had left the carriageway close to the junction with Grangefoyle Road.
